Ashen Covenant
Ashen Covenant is a proper RPG that doesn't shrink itself down for phones. You build a party of four, learn a skill tree that actually forces choices, and travel a broken kingdom stitched together from small hand-drawn regions. Combat is turn-based with a positioning twist — where your characters stand changes what their abilities hit.
The writing surprised me. Companions have opinions, and they'll leave or open up depending on how you handle the story's forks. I replayed the second act just to see a different ending, which is rare for a mobile RPG. Loot is generous without turning into a spreadsheet.
My only gripe is the menu-heavy inventory, which feels a little cramped on a smaller screen. But the pacing of quests is well judged, and boss fights ask you to change tactics rather than just grind. If you want something with weight, this delivers.
